Privacy notice

How the website and browser-based search tool handle information.

Last updated: September 21, 2026.

Searches and optional AI summaries

Office Action Text Search sends your query and USPTO API key directly from your browser to the USPTO. When you request an AI summary, your browser sends the selected document, the summary prompt, and the relevant API key directly to OpenAI or Google, as selected. These requests do not pass through AIPatentTools or its hosting service. Those services apply their own terms and privacy practices.

Keys and results in your browser

Keys remain available while the page is open. If you select “Remember in this tab,” the chosen key is also stored in browser session storage so it survives refreshes. Browser session restoration can restore this storage. “Forget keys” clears the app’s saved keys and key fields. The app does not save keys for future visits in persistent local storage.

Search results and generated summaries are held in the page. Download buttons save the selected results to your device. This site has no contact form, file-upload feature, or account-registration feature.

Website delivery

The hosting service may process request metadata such as IP address, requested page, browser information, and request time to deliver and protect the website. The website adds no analytics, advertising, tracking scripts, or application cookies. Fonts and scripts are served with the website.

External links and communication

Links to other websites lead to services with their own privacy practices. This website is not a confidential communication channel. For legal representation, visit The Breuer Law Firm to arrange an appropriate communication channel.
